Sen. Bernie Sanders Talks Healthcare, Race & Hoops

What separates Bernie Sanders from a crowded 2020 field? Consistency, according to supporters.

Sanders has been advocating for the same ideas for decades…which are now becoming part of the mainstream.

He explains his worldview in this interview with “The Issue Is: with Elex Michaelson.”

Sanders wants to get rid of the current private insurance system and replace it with a government run system he calls “Medicare for All.”

“All we are trying to do is expand upon a popular & effective program.”

“[It’s] a simple system, a system that will cost them less money, a system that will guarantee healthcare for all people…”

We also discuss the Mueller investigation, racism in America, and the fight between moderates & progressives.

The Senator also talks about his love for basketball…and playing hoops with his grandkids these days.

“The Issue Is:” airs every Friday at 10:30pm on Fox 11 Los Angeles and Saturdays at 6:30am on KTVU Fox 2.
