Kolade – Another Victim Of Nigerian Police Brutality

Hello Everyone. Welcome to Plus Trending. Today, we mourn the passing of another Nigerian allegedly killed by a SACS operative. The victim is 36-year-old Kolade Johnson.

Kolade was reportedly murdered by operatives of the Gbagada division of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad (SACS) of the Lagos State Police Command who had reportedly visited his residential area on Sunday afternoon, to arrest one Folorunsho, a young man who wears dreadlocks and lives in the Mangoro/Onipetesi area in Lagos State.

According to a witness who spoke to NAN, Kolade was one of the people who gathered to assure the officers of Folorunsho’s innocence just before the officers shot 3 times to disperse the crowd. The witness said kolade didn’t even know he was shot until he and his friends had walked some meters before realizing he was bleeding. Kolade died on his way to the General hospital in Ikeja while the officers allegedly fled the scene for fear of being lynched by a mob which soon gathered and blocked the roads around the area.
