Focus Group on the Trump Presidency | Saint Anselm College, New Hampshire | THE CIRCUS | SHOWTIME

THE CIRCUS is on a roadshow this week, talking to voters and citizens in 5 states in 5 days to find out how different parts of America are reacting to Donald Trump’s presidency.

On Monday, after stops at Lucky’s Barbershop and Smokeshow BBQ in Concord, New Hampshire, co-host Mark Halperin stopped by Saint Anselm College in Manchester for an impromptu focus group with students and local residents who were attending an event at the college.

With the room split virtually evenly among those who are supporters of Donald Trump and those who are not, the conversation while opinionated and well-informed, lacked the hysteria and overstatement typically heard in Washington and on television. Many were still cautiously optimistic about the new President’s chances of bringing change to Washington, and although critical of Trump’s tweeting and concerned about Russia ties, the desire for a different kind of leader in the White House remains strong.
