Remember the good old days, when Bush would not be able to open a door in front of dignitaries or say some silly stuttering gaff? Ah, the simpler times!
Sir indian you dont what you're talking about elizabeth steal a spot in harvard from you indians that could have been your relative and it would be historical to have more Indian at harvard
MSNBC is as horrible as CNN
Trump was wrong in his choice of diction and historical references.
As a history teacher I am very honest with my students as far as how Native Americans were treated in this country. The Native Americans in North America were treated as subhuman during colonization. As a matter of fact Native Americans were given blankets infected with the smallpox disease, they were scalped by US military, they were driven from their homes and forced onto reservations because the US wanted their land in order to gain territory and fertile soil. All In the cause to gain profit. Thesese brutal facts are communicated to my 6th grade history class and when I told them this they were shocked. Then I informed them about the Navajo Code Talkers and their willingness to fight for their Homeland. I posed the question " why would the Navajo join the military and fight for their country the United States even though they were so oppressed, discriminate against, and treated like dirt? "
My 6th grade class was able to recall facts from the videos I showed them on YouTube, interviews with Code Talkers such as Chester Nez, interviews from Camp Elliot in San Diego California, examples of the Navajo code, examples and photos of how Native Americans were treated by the US government, and they gave a beautiful exclamation as to why the Navajo stood up for their country. They said Navajo people stand up, they are warriors and they fight for their land, for their Homeland. I am proud that my 6th grade class is better able to articulate an argument for the Navajo Code Talkers and defendant it in a much better way then our president elect. Trump needs a very good lesson in history and the causes and effects of that history before he opens his mouth.
Trump just can't help himself..lol. He believes the world revolves around him. It's so SAD!
Elizabeth Warren just needs to die her hair black and start wearing some beads…
Just when you think Trump couldn't out a**hole himself….he strikes again.
Trump is not only an embarrassment to the Navajo Nation , he is an embarrassment to our Nation.
Go Russell Begaye!
Warren stole from the Cherokee's.
Well said Sir! My Respect!
trump is a disgrace
Donald J Trump is a repugnant human being and his election to the presidency calls into question the integrity of the American people. The rest of the world despises America for good reason, Trump dirties everything he touches.
Warren just got scalped!
Donald Trump is completely classless and an embarrassment to the nation and the honorable legacy of The Office of The President.
I guess the Navajo chief needs to return his suit and go back to wearing feathers and being naked. That's how European setters found the Indians. No doubt they took Indian lands in warfare, also through trickery, but they clothed the Indians, fed the Indians, provided them with houses. The Navajo Indian is right in saying the Americans/European settlers abused the Indians but he would not be wearing that suit and tie, driving his car, living in a nice mansion if it wasn't for the European / American.
Its not racial. Its 1 woman's name, we have an NFL team called the red skins, a baseball team called the indians…he is bringing to light Warrens lack of integrity juxtapose to the heros next to him.
Is everybody missing the point, has any other President brought them to the oval office? He could have said we have an imposter in the senate who i think owes you a great apology and her fraudulent selfish acts should not go unnoticed or unpunished. Im requesting she return all salary to the Indian nation as she earned it pretending to have the courage of people like you…which is utterly cowardice and not how this country should run. Instead i think a nickname is a fair trade for that opportunistic liar and fraud. Her actions are the definition of an immoral, lack of integrity, selfish scum bag…she cheated someone out of a job…and certainly doesnt speak like a Harvard professor, perhaps she realized she was to disingenuous and ignorant to hold such title on her own.
Way to avoid answering the question about the ceremony being held under the portrait of the author of Indian Genocide! Go on an epic and lengthy blather of such length and loquacity that I expect most people had forgotten what the question was – or even that there WAS a question, by the end…
"Some of them were imprisoned in POW camps" – oh well that'll be why Trump dissed the guys; it's well known that he thinks that soldiers who get captured merit no respect.
